HikeStrong 2010 was a team of individuals across the United States hiking for a cause in 2010. Individually they hiked for many reasons. Some of them hiked for a challenge, some hiked for the freedom, and others fulfilled a life-long dream. Together they hiked for a cause... and the cause was LIVESTRONG.
In March & April of 2010, members of HikeStrong 2010 began their treks individually and continued fundraising as a team. When it was all said and done, they had raised exactly $11,446.13 for LIVESTRONG.
As a part of these hikes, their team raised funds to benefit the Lance Armstrong Foundation and its fight against cancer of all types. At the LAF, people unite to fight cancer believing that unity is strength, knowledge is power and attitude is everything. They help people with cancer live life on their own terms and pursue an agenda focused on prevention, access to screening and care, investment in research, and much more!
You can learn more about the teams and find links to their online journals on the who's hiking tab.
